New Tamiya Clod Buster project

I started a new Tamiya Clod Buster project! This is my official announcement of a new truck that I have in the works. I have been buying parts for this new project for a few months now and in this video I will be showing almost all of the parts that I have acquired so far. This will be another all custom Clod Buster but I wanted to do some things a little different this time around compared to what I (and ESP) did with the King Clod and Raging Bull. This new truck will still be a show truck type of monster like those two but it will use parts that I have never used before. Some of the parts are from manufacturers that I have no prior experience with like Hesse Machine, Arch Fabrication, and Chatham CNC. Please stay tuned for further videos about this project truck as I make progress on it. I am anxious to start turning wrenches on it but there are still a few parts like motors that I need to buy before the truck will be completed. There are little parts here and there like fasteners and spacers that I will also inevitably have to buy as I make progress with the assembly, as is always the case with these all custom Clod Buster trucks. So, please be patient for the finished truck as it will be a while until it is fully completed. These customized Clod Busters and Bull Heads are not like the stock kits from Tamiya in that there are always little parts that you have to buy along the way that you never thought about before. Normally, with the stock kits, Tamiya takes care of all those little details before the kits ever leave the factory but when you are doing things all on your own like what I do, things always fall between the cracks. That is all just part of the fun though! The last step that I always do with all of my project trucks is decide on a name. I have the name of this truck narrowed down to a few choices but I have not decided on a final name just yet. I will reveal the name in the last video when I show off the completed truck, so please stay tuned for that. Also, I forgot to mention a few new parts that are shown in the video. Sorry about that! The sixteen shocks will be mounted with a Crawford Performance Engineering quad shock mounting kit that is shown sitting on the hood of the body. Inside of the gear cases will be Robinson Racing steel pinion gears that are 32 pitch. Those two gears are shown just to the right of the Hitec steering servos. I decided to use smaller 12 tooth pinion gears this time around to compensate for the larger outer diameter of the Imex Swamp Dawg tires compared to stock Tamiya Clod Buster tires. (Stock Clod Busters have 13 tooth, 32 pitch pinion gears.) The Hesse Machine gear cases, like all aftermarket Clod Buster aluminum gear cases, have adjustable motor mounts that allow for the use of different sized pinion gears. Sorry again for forgetting to mention those parts.
