Irish Penal Reform Trust (IPRT) Know Your Rights: Information, Advocacy and Remedies event took place on 22 August 2024. In three panel discussions, we examined the challenges people in prison face in understanding and asserting their rights, along with ways to empower self and peer advocacy. We focused on rights for minority groups and discussed how state institutions can actively provide accessible, rights-based information. 00:00 IPRT Executive Director Saoirse Brady opened the event. 04:01 Chair James Leonard introduced the first panel.
