It is in the Mojave Desert just over 2,000 feet above sea level, so we do have periods where Las Vegas weather has extreme temperatures, mostly in the winter (when it can get below freezing) and in the summer (when it can get to 110+). The cold we get in the winter is a very "dry" cold and the summer time is actually when we get a good portion of our rain (monsoon season). Despite Las Vegas weather having occasional extremes, most of the year is beautiful, particularly in the spring and in the fall (probably my favorite time of year). In the spring you have to watch out for some of the strong winds that can come through, but in the fall it seems like Las Vegas weather is perfect everyday. Las Vegas is a beautiful city to live in or visit, and the weather is just one nice component. Stay tuned for more!
