Always use correct safety equipment and wash for a long time under running water to remove all particles and then wash a bit more. Also the o ring is important for the reason that because we screw the top cap on to the airflow ring to lock it down. The top cap thread finish doesn't meet the base's top deck. Which means when liquid works its way back down from the top cap it sits in the thread and seeps into outer ring. Additional Info from Dejay Rezme: Remove positive 510 screw to allow removal of positive part of the inner deck to help with cleaning.
