Doris Showcases the Wondrous Judith Leiber’s Handbags & Purses in This Luxury Fashion Showcase

Hello The Way We Wore Fans, In this episode we are showcasing the design work of Judith Leiber who is known for her Minaudiere purses in the shape of animals, fanciful confections, and more whimsical pop culture references. Leiber who was from Hungry migrated to the U.S. after World War II with her husband, who served in the American Military in Eastern Europe. Leiber started designing purses while in Europe, but started her company with her husband in 1963 in New York. Her purses since then have become a staple with celebrities on the red carpet, and are highly collectible. Even after death in 2018 Leiber’s purses are still the ultimate accessory in luxury. Alexander Wang even designed a money roll of bills in 2017, which sold for $6k. The accessory was even featured in Hustlers.
