Climbing Crimson Chrysalis in Red Rocks Nevada Notes: This pitch was fun and relatively straight forward. I didn't find the run out mentioned in some comments on mountain project all that bad. A solid number BD 3 protects the initial moves transitioning out the crack and its easy ground to the first bold, just don't biff it prior to clipping. If you are rappelling the route the traditional way be sure to bring a 70 meter rope and try to stay left over the climbing line. My partner rapped directly down from the anchors and had to down climb 10 - 15 ft of easy but loose rock.
