CAMLOCK/SAFLOK® couplings - product presentation

This video shows one of the most popular industrial couplings – CAMLOCK couplings together with their variation, SAFLOK® couplings. These solutions are usually used in the fuel industry and chemical industry. The couplings available in many material options (aluminium, brass, stainless steel, polypropylene) have very simple design. Installation is also easy as a hose assembly fitted with CAMLOCK or SAFLOK® coupling is attached by simply inserting an adapter into a coupler with open levers. To obtain leak proof connection both cam arms must be pulled down at the same time. The difference between SAFLOK® and standard CAMLOCK coupling is that it includes a special locking mechanism to secure against disconnection. Basically, it is used wherever working conditions may bring the risk of accidental opening of the cam arms as a result of vibration or pressure pulsation. To protect standard CAMLOCK coupling from disconnection, SAFETY LOCK strap may be applied. There is also SAFETY BUMP, another product complementary for CAMLOCK range. After inserting, it protects the ends of the coupling but also the hose assembly against damage in case of dropping.
