Another episode of my Dr Vstrom video series about the Oil & Oil filter change on a motorcycle. It is a revisited topic, created after several requests to cover in detail the steps and also offer tips for this subject. Although a simple DIY task, it is yet a most vital one that in my opinion has to be performed whenever the engine asks for it. Thus depending on the bike, the environment & the way you ride, the replacement interval might vary. Be sure to study the temperature & oil viscosity chart of the manual & depending on the temperature range in your area pick the appropriate oil. The colder the area the thinner the oil has to be and the opposite. The tutorial demonstrates on my DL650 Vstrom L7 model but the steps are applicable to the entire Vstrom family and of course any other bike out there, so enjoy.
