Fabric Godmother Dream Wardrobe April 2025 Unboxing

Hello and welcome to my unboxing of the Fabric Godmother Dream Wardrobe box for April 2025. The thing about subscription boxes is that you’re signing up to receive something you didn’t pick for yourself, which means there’s always the chance that you might not like what’s inside. Unfortunately, that’s happened to me this month and that’s no fault of Fabric Godmother, it’s just the luck of the draw. The box includes their new pattern, the Calla trousers, which isn’t a pattern I’d choose for myself purely because it’s not my personal style to wear tracksuit bottoms out and about day-to-day. The pattern itself looks great in terms of being able to be fairly simple, but also having options to add extra details. But, it’s just not the sort of style of trousers that I gravitate towards unless it’s for lounging round the house. The fabric included in the box is a great weight and is definitely well suited to the pattern, but again, unfortunately, bright red is a colour I don’t like and don’t feel comfortable in. I’d have been happy if the box had come instead with the green or navy fabric used in the versions the models are wearing in the pattern photos, but this is also not the fault of Fabric Godmother. Everyone has a colour or colours they really don’t like (it would be very boring if everyone liked the same things) and it’s just unlucky that this months box included my ‘hard no’ colour. If anyone in the UK would be interested in the fabric, let me know - I might put it up for sale on my Vinted since I doubt that I would wear the trousers in this colour even if I used this fabric as a wearable toile to check the fit of the pattern.
