We Returned to the US. Here's Why We're Leaving Again

It has been one month since we returned from Alsace to Taunton, MA. This isn’t a quick update or a highlights reel. At 17 minutes, it is everything I could think of to show you the physical and financial friction of staying versus the life we found in Colmar. We will be stuck in the USA until we raise enough money for our French visas, so we're sorting and selling everything. We hope to return to France by the end of summer 2026. I am showing you the dependency of the American car ride, the systemic neglect of the infrastructure, and the "Math" of a life spent in lines, stock rooms, and tax windows. This is the raw footage of why the decision to move is no longer a question for our family. I am editing 4K on a machine that is struggling to keep up because the project was more important than the hardware. This video is a week late because I refused to cut out the boring, frustrating truths that most travel channels ignore. UPDATE: Reuploaded to fix the frame rate disaster. The camera I bought lied about being 60fps; it’s actually 30fps, which made the slow-motion drive look like a 15fps slideshow or bad 1992 security cam footage. I’ve restored that clip to regular speed and extended the Colmar walk to Boulangerie L'Authentique to compensate. As for the audio "hum" in the third minute... I’ve adjusted the levels, but the YouTube algorithm seems determined to fight me on it.
