Kashmir Great Lakes Trek - Day 3 Nichnai to Vishansar

Day 3 Part 1 The initial part of the day involves crossing the nishani pass. After finishing the first trekking day successfully we started to feel a bit confident to do the rest of the days and I guess it was a very good strategy that is used by the trek organisers because on the first day we did not have to climb any pass to get through the mountain and once they build our confidence the next day they get us through the nishnai pass where lungs start gasping for air and every corner alveoli was being utilised as we felt our hearts pumping through our chests. It was an amazing experience and made us feel alive. Part 2 - Nichnai Pass - Situated at 4100 meters above the sea level After crossing the Nishnai pass and coming down to the other side then we had to go across a vast stretch of Valley in order to reach the location of Vishnusar Lake and it took us another few hours and we were able to make it there by slightly post lunchtime. Part 3 - Vishnusar Lake- After several hours of trekking we finally reached our campsite which was located very close to the lake and we had a few hours to spare before the end of the day to spend it at lakeside. The Vishnusar/Vishansar Lake is an alpine high altitude oligotrophic lake situated in the vicinity of Sonamarg at an elevation of 3710 meters. It has a maximum length of 1 kilometer and maximum width of 0.6 kilometers. Vishansar in Kashmiri means the lake of Vishnu. It is fed by the Krishansar Lake and glaciers. The Vishansar Lake is the source of Neelum River, which flows northwards up to Badoab and then westwards through Gurais along the Line of Control.
