GTR gets Sparco QRT-C Carbon Fiber Racing Seats installed with Lightweight Planted Bases!

After months of sitting on the kitchen table, I have finally acquired everything I needed to install the Sparco QRT-C Carbon Fiber Racing Seats into the Nissan GTR! I could not be happier with the results! It turned out fantastic both cosmetically and functionally. The leather and red stitching matches the rest of the interior spot on. It honestly matches better than the OE seats (These seats are also available with black or grey stitching if that matches your car better). As shown in the video, putting the car on the scales before and after showed the seats reduced total weigh by 65LBS, which is substantial. 2.5LBS of which was from working with Planted to create a custom skeletonized light weight variant seat base/brackets. Super awesome guys & CS to do a one-off custom design for the ultimate in weight reduction while being equally as rigid as their original design. It did take a full day to install, but I was not in any rush. Hopefully you can use what I learned through trial and error + tips shown in this install video to install your very own in less than half the time. It took 12hrs including the video making and putting the car on and off the scales etc. If I had to do it again, I could do it in less than 3hr (For just the seat install, no video or weighing). So there you have it. I'm thrilled with the results, and next will be installing a roll-cage and harnesses. That stuff is on order, so in two weeks, I'll do another install video putting that stuff in. So subscribe and follow the build!
