"Rebel Moon — Part Two: The Scargiver," is the follow-up to Zack Snyder's widely criticized "Rebel Moon — Part One: A Child of Fire," which premiered last December and held the dubious distinction of being Snyder's worst-reviewed work. Unfortunately, this second part, while shorter and more direct than its predecessor, fails to revive the franchise, marked by its lazy attempt at worldbuilding and character development. The sequel continues in a universe initially conceived as a "Star Wars" spinoff. Snyder, known for his directorial work on "Dawn of the Dead", “Watchmen” and "300," arguably his most acclaimed films, is also known for his directorial work on Army of the Dead, and the Rebel Moon duology, arguably his worst films to date. While his first three films helped launch his career, his past three movies have cratered it.
