Hiking the Econ River Wilderness Area

Heading out to a "Top 10" trail in this one! I don't use Alltrails during hikes, but will use it for research occasionally. Here I'm visiting what they rank as one of the best trails in Florida. Everyone isn't necessarily looking for the same type of adventure I am, but I figured it was worth the time to check this place out. Turns out there is a good amount of wildlife to be found amongst the people you'll see at this location. I found deer, birds, insects, toads, rabbits, squirrels, and tortoises. The first deer was hard to see. Some people walked right passed it. I noticed the sound of branches being pulled by the deer eating. Then I just had to find a gap to film through. Later, five deer crossed the trail behind me. I tend look back once in a while. Since I walk so slow, sometimes wildlife catches up to me. I went back to the group and they were surprisingly tolerant of me. When I reached the river itself, I noticed dozens and dozens of little frogs all over the ground. It was hard to get down the trail without crushing one. I only got a few on camera. They were so tiny! The last thing I came across was a hungry gopher tortoise munching on some grass. I feel like I could watch them all day.
