Major General Monwabisi DYAKOPU, Force Commander of SAMIDRC explains the Mandate of the Mission.

Major General Monwabisi DYAKOPU, the Force Commander and Head of Mission of #SAMIDRC explains the Mandate of the SADC Mission. SAMIDRC is deployed with an offensive Mandate to support the #DRC to neutralise negative forces and illegal armed groups in the Eastern DRC to restore and maintain peace and security to create a secure environment. SAMIDRC is also supporting the DRC Armed Forces, working with the Forces armées de la république démocratique du Congo (FARDC), by providing land, air and maritime assistance to enhance its military operational capabilities. In the execution of the Mandate, SAMIDRC cooperates with FARDC in operations, logistics and training. The cooperation is targeted to ensure robust offensives to neutralise illegal armed groups and help to eliminate the threat they pose to the threat to the peace and security in the DRC.
