WCMH 6pm News, Weather, Sports/Jan. 12, 1992/Behind the Scenes

This is a look at the 6pm WCMH news from Jan.12, 1992. I was invited to the set with my video camera to record the news 20 years ago. I also set my VCR to record the news off the air. So while most of footage I used is from what I recorded on the set, the audio is from the VCR tape. I hope people will find this interesting and a little informative of how a local news show was produced 20 years ago. I'm sure the process hasn't changed that much over the years, except the video equipment I'm sure is digital. Near the end, I visited the control room. Then Colleen Marshall & Ben Gelber tape news promos to be used during the evening prime time schedule. This was recorded exactly 20 years ago this Thurs.(Jan. 12, 2012)
