Welcome back to another video! I’m Alexandra Crawford, California Realtor. In today’s video, I’ll be focusing the neighborhood spotlight on the area of Lemon Grove. I’ll highlight local schools, employers, shopping, pet-friendliness ratings, etc.             Lemon Grove is a city in San Diego County, California, United States. The population was 25,320 at the 2010 census, up from 24,918 in 2000. Built on the shores of the former Laguna Grande, Lemon Grove City is surrounded by the picturesque Ortega Mountains. Lemon grove is known for its "Best climate on Earth." It has a year-round temperate climate that helps its reputation as a city filled with many things people can do. The area can trace its roots as a city as far back as 1888. Its history is one of the most interesting in California, ranging from the time Native Americans called the area home to the second world war when Elsinore Lake was used as a test area for seaplanes. The city's citizens voted to rename Laguna Grande Lemon Grove in 1972. The community has actively taken care of the city’s lake to preserve its natural beauty.
