Welcome to Cigar Ops Featuring Todd Tappe! The premiere episode, inspired by Todd's father, is a review of the Punch Clasico. The Clasico was an all-time favorite of his father's, and brings back good memories. Enjoy! Todd has enjoyed a couple cigars a day for over forty years as a soldier, a marine, and a civilian. He’s shared these natural wonders with industry stars, complete novices, and—most importantly and often—good friends and comrades in arms. And he’s exhaustively researched, compared, and reviewed all manner of cigars, ranging in quality from the horrible to the sublime. Cigar Ops shares the benefit of all these experiences through enlightening and entertaining reviews. These reviews generally demand three sessions with a given cigar in diverse circumstances, a protocol we call the “Triple Tappe.” Each Cigar Ops episode includes a primary “Studio” segment, filmed in a controlled environment, in which Todd conducts the third session of the Triple-Tappe protocol and gives his final verdict. The Studio segment may also feature guest reviewers, film clips, and other entertainment elements. And most episodes are augmented by a separate “Sessions” segment, which presents the first two Triple Tappe sessions. The Sessions segment supplements and expands on a review, but also stands on its own as a more traditional (albeit casual and light hearted) assessment for the cigar purists amongst us. Cigars aren’t for everyone ... so they tell us. But for each person on this planet who can light up and wants to light up and knows what they want to light up, countless more need cigar advice and information.
