Author Scott Turow presents at the 2010 National Book Festival. Speaker Biography: Scott Turow is a writer as well as an attorney. He is the author of eight novels including his first novel, 1987's "Presumed Innocent," and its sequel, this year's "Innocent" (Grand Central Publishing). Turow's books have won a number of literary awards, and his books have been translated into more than 25 languages, sold more than 25 million copies worldwide and been adapted into a full-length film and two television miniseries. This fall, Fox TV will premiere a weekly series, based on his third novel, "Pleading Guilty." Turow continues to work as an attorney. He has been a partner in the Chicago office of a national law firm since 1986, concentrating on white-collar criminal defense while also devoting a substantial amount of time to pro bono matters. He lives in Illinois.
