Each test cartridge has a unique combination of biosensors to suit a wide range of clinical needs. Easy to use Testing can be performed at the patient’s side with only 2-to-3 drops of whole blood. Clear and comprehensive instructions help the operator through the testing process. Fast, lab-quality results Provides accurate results in approximately 2 minutes for most tests. To operate the Abbott i-STAT 1 Analyzer, you can: Add 2–3 drops of blood to the cartridge Close the cartridge and insert it into the handheld View the results on the handheld screen Upload the results to the lab information system (LIS) or electronic medical record (HIS) Here are some other things you can do with the i-STAT 1 Analyzer: Recall last results: Turn on the handheld and press 1 for Last Result View test records: Press 1 for Test Options, then 3 for History Review data: Press the Menu key, then 2 for Data Review Review patient records: Press the Menu key, then 7 for List Transmit results: The i-STAT 1 Analyzer can automatically upload results to the LIS or HIS when placed in the downloader. The i-STAT 1 Wireless model can also transmit results wirelessly.
