This 74-minute tribute journey through different phases of Little Louie Vega's iconic discography, is a celebration of a producer who turned DJ culture into an art form and inspired generations of dancers, selectors, and music lovers around the world. Tracks 1 to 4 are dedicated to the first compilation album my sister brought in our house, called “Mad Styles & Crazy Visions”. Through this, Louie Vega initiated me to his world of rhythm and sound. I was 15 years old at the time, and the album immediately become my musical compass, discovering artists, music forms and styles. Tracks 5 to 6 is an oblation to Vega’s recent deaf stylized Kicks, accompanied by live jazzy elements. Served by my favorite House Diva Loleatta Holloway and the charismatic Kenny Dixon Jr. Tracks 7 to 9 is a journey into Vega’s deep and afro side which ends up with a Caribbean style blissful tune from 2004. Heavy beats, Solid basslines and phat keyboards. Shaking your booty is Guaranteed. Tracks 10 to 12 Is dedicated to some great vocal soulful tunes he Remixed or Produced (Sorry Adeva for picking the instrumental version. Adding Ellis D “My Loleatta” acap was inevitable) Track 13 was picked for three reasons: a) It has a representative rhythmic arrangement of the MAW duo b) Tito Puente and India c) I had only few minutes left to reach the 74rth.
