Some riders argue taller handlebars provide more comfort when standing, other riders defend by stating that taller bars actually hinder your ability to achieve proper riding technique. We went out to the deserts of Utah to compare both stock height handlebars and 1" bar risers. We compared both setups back to back on three different tests over a variety of different terrain. Not only did we compare lap times and data provided by a LitPro high precision GPS, we also compared our rider feedback and feeling we received when riding both setups. The most important takeaway and lesson we should all learn from this video is that neither tall bars or low bars are better than the other. They simply have pros and cons and each setup can be more conducive for different types of riding or racing. The real answer lies not in what your setup consists of but whether your setup actually compliments the type of riding you're doing or not.
