My INSANE summit experience 2019- Express Cheer Exceptional

If you have any questions my instagram is @stephaniedavis12 My "statement": If it hasn’t been emotionally draining enough, things got worse. on monday morning, after summit was over, our coaches called a meeting to tell us varsity wont recognizing us as summit champions. it was against the rules to have a S5 girl compete with us. I can not speak for the coaches, but we as athletes had no idea. we trusted our coaches that they knew the rules, and did not think to question them as they have never done anything like this before. I think that our team coach knew, but the gym owner did not. it is not his job to micro manage these things. My mind set on this whole thing is that I am a summit champion. my team and I won. they announced us as champions on sunday and what ever technical stuff happens after the competition does not affect me. at that point my cheer career is over. it would be different if we intentionally cheated, but we didnt. we still walked off the matt with the highest score, and that’s what varsity announced. to attempt to go back and change what has already been done is completely unprofessional, and embarrassing for the integrity of the company and the sport. i believe in my heart our team won, but our coaches did not. everything that has happened this past week has been extremely unhealthy for my teams mind. although i am grateful to call myself a summit champion, i do not wish this stress upon anyone.
