If you don’t know much about those to begin with, start here and come back to this video afterwards:    • Skate Sharpening, What Do You Get? - ...   The shape of an FBV sharpening is comprised of a flat portion to enable glide and two fangs to allow your skate blade to grip the ice surface with inside and outside edges. The Sparx FIRE rings offer a similar shape while not exactly the same. In the video I explain that this shape resembles a “flattened radius of hollow”.
