Any new BMW model with an automatic transmission will feature an electronic gear shifter. Learn how to utilize the electronic gear shifter to shift gear and park your BMW. The transmission settings are clearly printed on its face, to ensure you always know if you're in ""park,"" ""reverse,"" or ""driving."" Once the vehicle is started, you will automatically be in ""park."" To select ""neutral,"" press forward past the point of resistance one time, twice for ""reversing.""
