GUI Development is Dead

Ever since we started using computers some 70 years ago, we've tried to create a bridge between the way we communicate as humans and the way computers understands only extremely formalised computer language. This is the purpose of programming languages in fact. Yet still we've never achieved this, only approximated it to an extent where 0.3% of the world's population is capable of "communicating with computers" using programming languages. The graphical user interface is one attempt at bridging this gap, but arguably everything we've done for the last 70 years have been attempts at creating such bridges. With AI we no longer need such bridges because the AI can actually understand our intentions from our natural language input, and transform our intentions into computer instructions, that the machine can execute to do what we want it to do. One of the consequences of this is that GUI development as we know it today is ipso facto "dead", implying most future user interfaces will use natural language input instead of a GUI, allowing the end user to use natural language to interact with the machine instead of having to go through buttons, dropdown lists, checkboxes, etc. Read more about my company at https://ainiro.io
