The S1 and S61 (now S55) see reductions in weekday rush hour service, along with the S92 which has no improvements (in some cases REDUCTION) to service spans. The hourly S58 is going to be a mess as the bus is overcrowded enough now, and will be even more jammed with the addition of serving Brentwood. Also having it not stop in front of Tanger and forcing people to walk along the service road from Main St (Rt.25). Still no bus service at all to BNL and the new Super Walmart in Yaphank. And Calverton Hills, a low income apt complex will be left without any bus service with the nearest bus route at least an hour walk away through the woods. A possible Title VI violation right there! The winners are the usual favored areas such as the towns of Islip and Babylon, along with Patchogue. There will be improved service frequency in these areas, plus longer service spans for most except S92 users which get screwed big time (they're obviously taking equipment away from East End to give to SW Suffolk).
