In this video I will share with you 2 ways to see if old seeds are still good for planting. Option #1 Mason Jar Supplies needed: 1- Mason Jar 10- Old seeds Water Directions: 1. Fill Mason Jar with water 2. Put 10 Old Seeds in the Mason Jar 3. Let sit on counter for 15 minutes 4. Time to check your seeds 5. If the seeds are floating that means they’re hollow. So they are not good anymore for planting. If they have sunk to the bottom of the jar this means there are still good for planting. Option #2 Wet Paper Towel Supplies Needed: 1- paper towel 10- old seeds 1- Ziplock Bag Directions: 1. Wet your paper towel with warm water 2. Place 10 seeds inside the paper towel 3. Fold seeds into paper towel 4. Place folded paper towel inside ziplock bag 5. Place bag with seeds in a warm area (I put mine on my dryer in the laundry room. 6. Let sit for 3 days 7. Time to check your seeds 8. Open paper towel. If you see sprouts you can use this seeds this year in your garden. If there are no sprouts your seeds will not be good for planting.
