Hey Y'all, and a Happy February to YOU! In honor of the newly released Led Zeppelin documentary, I decided to take a crack at the very first Zep tune I ever heard, Good Times Bad Times. This being the first song on their very first record, it has such an incredible raw and mystical energy to it with every member representing their individual elements with such purity and emotion right out of the gate! I would run the batteries dry on my walkman wearing out this scratched up CD, listening to it so many times, doing my best to figure out all the riffs and licks I could pick out by ear. With this cover, I did my best to stay true to the original, while adding little bits of my own flare to it here and there and sprinkling an easter egg or two in as well for the musically curious. Trying to do Plant, Page and John Paul Jones is no easy feat but as Meatloaf was once famously misquoted "3 out of 4 ain't bad".
