Archbishop Ignatius Maloyan (born "Shukrallah") was the Armenian Catholic Archbishop of Mardin in the Ottoman Empire during the Armenian Genocide. He tried desperately to protect his congregation, but unfortunately he and other Christians were executed in 1915. He was canonized on October 19, 2025.
