In Sweden, when we aim to get Swedish Driving License either for Two-wheeler or Four-wheeler Risk education is mandatory. We have two part for Risk Education, first one is Risk Education Part 1 which is theory which you can attend in Driving School. But to attend the Risk Education Part 2 which is practical, need to be attended in designated Education center. In Stockholm we have one ‘Gillenge’. Here you will be driving a car in difficult situations learning how the vehicle behaves. Hard pedal braking and braking in adverse scenarios. In my opinion this Risk Education is really needed should be applicable whoever intend to hold the driving license in any part of the world. Here in Sweden these courses are mandatory and need to be passed with approved results before you can conduct theoretical and practical tests for your driver´s license. Risk Education Part 2 consists among other things of reality-based practical exercises that highlights the dangers of driving. Risk Education Part 2 is about four hours long and includes: • Human behavior • The car's dynamics • Driving under special circumstances During training, you will have the opportunity to experience your limited ability to cope with a difficult situation in traffic.To carry out the training practical elements it is important that you are at the end of your education. For example you should be able to: • perform hard accelerations • braking from high speeds • drive a car independently Car inspection before you drive is also taught here along with the types of tyre like Summer tyre or winter tyre.
