Verse I In days of old when knights were bold, When love was proved by steel and gold, A knight rode forth at break of dawn To win a maid with hope sworn on. She spoke to him with trembling breath: “One foe yet stands ‘twixt love and death. Till he be laid in final rest, My hand is not for thee confessed. Refrain Oh ride, oh ride, brave heart be strong, For love is tried by right and wrong. Through fate unkind and dark decree, True vows shall live eternally. Verse II The joust rang loud, the lances flew, Her favor tied in crimson hue. But crueler steel upon the field Brought fate no shield could ever yield. “Thou art now mine,” the victor cried, “My word thy law, thy will denied.” Yet in her soul she held one flame: No power could steal her lover’s name. Verse III So centuries like leaves fell fast, While love stood firm against the past. Till born anew in later days A child of song and wandering ways. No sword he bore, no horse he led, But music walked where fate had fled. By rhyme and tune his heart was drawn To vows the ages had not gone. Refrain Oh wait, oh wait, true heart be still, For love outlives all mortal will. Though years may pass and worlds may bend, True love remembers in the end. Verse IV They searched the wide world far and long, Yet shared one strength, one binding song. The maid then sang, her voice so clear: “I am thy lady — thou art my dear.” At last they met, the sparks did fly, This time no tears, no last goodbye. On their lives they solemnly swore To part in death — and not before. Final Chorus Now joined as one, their music played, Two waiting souls at last were made. Through time, through loss, through fate’s harsh leaven, Love endured — unchanged, unshaken. 🎵 A pairing from heaven, divinely made, Was finally found — and forever
