Here's part 2 of my summer trip to Texas video series. This part entails a generalized view of the day and a half journey from Chicago, Illinois to San Antonio, Texas. I didn't film every single station because limited video recording space, and quite frankly I didn't feel like recording every single little thing lol. Additionally, after the sun goes down, there's really nothing to see, which is unfortunate given the fact you never get a good look at Arkansas since both southbound and northbound Texas Eagles go through the state at a late night-early morning hour. Regardless, this leg of the trip was mostly pleasant until getting into Texas. Problems included the A/C going out for 30 minutes due to a P42DC malfunction, or a Union Pacific train with mechanical issues taking forever to move it's train into a siding. While we made up time lost to the P42 problem, the UP train issue cemented a 3.5 hour delayed arrival in San Antonio. Despite that, enjoy a ride with Amtrak P42DC 78 leading Train 421/21, the 'Texas Eagle' bound for San Antonio!
