They had a lot of ambition, but turned out to be absolute rubbish. Maki wanted to be in Formula One, had a lot of heart, but got a rude awakening when their car was about 150kg heavier than everyone else's. Even by 1970s standards it was a lot. But they tried, at least. They had some backing, even if it was a bit iffy, they had a decent driver in Howden Ganley but it never came to fruition.
