State Senators debate bill (SB 107) to make a CA sanctuary for sterilizing trans-treatments

California State Senators debated a bill (SB 107) on the floor of the Senate that makes the Golden State a safe haven for struggling minors who want to receive mutilating surgeries and sterilizing drugs to transform their bodies to match their gender feelings. The bill will to guarantee these treatments to child coming to California, even if that means California courts will take temporary jurisdiction from the custodial parent who objects to their child's medical transition. Senator Melissa Melendez questioned whether there were enough long-term scientific studies on using puberty blockers and cross sex-hormones on minors. “There is no going back” from trans-surgery, she said. “To allow them to go through with some of the medical procedures that are being suggested here without a parent being able to intervene is wrong, and that’s what this bill will allow,” she said.
