This video is an open demo of Kreo, a platform designed to automate the entire takeoff and estimating process for construction projects. Whether you're new to Kreo or have been with us for a while, we are excited to walk you through what we've been working on. In this demonstration, Richard showcases how you can use Kreo to streamline your workflow, from initial setup to final reporting. Pre-Project Automation 1. Item Assembly Database: You can create a database that stores all your elements for measurement, including materials, labor, pricing information, and formulas. 2. Project Templates: These templates allow you to avoid starting projects from scratch. You can create different templates for various project types, such as residential or commercial. Templates can contain predefined measurement groups, spreadsheet links, and report configurations. AI-Powered Measurement Tools 1. Auto Measure: This tool automates the measurement of quantities and is particularly suitable for floor plans and elevations. It can find all walls on a drawing and classify them by size or appearance. The tool can also measure wall finishes and has an option to automatically remove doorways from the measurement. 2. One-Click Area: An AI tool that allows you to measure complex or specific areas with a single click. By making additional clicks, you can exclude specific parts, like a countertop, from your takeoff. 3. Auto Count: Use this feature to select any element on a drawing, and Kreo will find and count all similar instances. If the element contains text, you can split the results by the text content. Reporting and Visualization 1. Integrated Spreadsheet: The platform features a spreadsheet page where all calculations are directly linked to your measurements. If a measurement is adjusted, the value in the spreadsheet updates instantly. 2. 3D View: You can view all your measurements in 3D to verify that everything has been measured correctly. 3. Custom Report Templates: A unique feature that allows you to export a final document, such as a Bill of Quantities (BOQ), quote, or proposal, using your own company's branding, logo, and formatting. The exported document can even retain its formulas for further adjustments. Collaboration 1. You can leave various types of comments on drawings and tag colleagues, who will receive immediate notifications. 2. A recent update added a "Callout" option for comments, allowing you to point to a specific place on the drawing.
