Shirley Temple Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm 1938 trailer with alternate takes to film scene comparison This trailer is courtesy of the TCM website, so the sound and image are excellent. It's practically an alternate take-fest with very few exceptions—the sound didn't sync well during the clip from 2:48 to 3:05 with Uncle Harry (William Demarest), as the lines were read a bit differently in each shot. Pause and move slowly from time to time to take it all in, and watch the movement in the two backgrounds during the clip from 3:06 to 3:20 with Tony (Randolph Scott) to see the different shots. The "Old Straw Hat" sequence doesn't have the "ding" sound effect in the trailer as it does in the film. Another nice job by the National Screen Service title department, with the more streamlined look of machine typesetting rather than hand lettering.
