Filipinos Come Here to get Pregnant! (Three Day Fiesta)

Filipino Catholics from around the country come here to Obando for a three day fiesta. Many do so, to pray for fertility and to get pregnant! In this video, myself and my wife get up early and make our way to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Salambao. After Holy Mass, we joined the procession, following Santa Clara through the streets of Obando. Speaking of that... it felt like the whole community came out do so as well! The procession was jam packed with people swaying side to side, and various groups performing the Obando Fertility Dance. Such a wonderful vibe, and so great seeing locals hand out free water and snacks to keep everyone hydrated and energized in the heat. As for the Ferility Dance... There are five steps: Panimula, Paghayon/Engganyo, Paghingi, Balse Lateral, and Pasasalamat. The procession ended back at the church, and we were guided to join in the middle of the Fertility Dance circle. I actually checked out Obando the day before as well. Turns out the town has a three day long fiesta celebration!
