How to cut a HALF BLIND Dovetail by Hand

This video shows my first experience marking, laying out, and cutting a half-blind (lapped) dovetail joint. Using tape helped establish clear borders, not only visually but also physically, giving the chisel a surface to register against and making it easier to stay accurate on the marking line. Honestly, it felt much easier than cutting a through dovetail joint, and even faster. I still need to cut many more to confirm whether this first impression is true. For my last project, I cut eight half-blind dovetails, which isn’t enough for a real comparison yet.
