https://ko-fi.com/shazarad A question that was posed to me a few times was how the German police pistol trinity compared to each other. Its not often you get all three in one place and certainly not often that all three are also police surplus so this is is about as close as you'll get to the real deal. Personally, they're all great pistols in their own way and served admirably in their roles. There is certainly more a cult following for the P7 line of pistols for some obvious reasons but I found it somewhat underwhelming in terms of shootability which is one of the most important factors for me liking a particular weapon. The P6 was so much like every other Sig Sauer P22X series of pistols that it was frankly boring but I could not get it to shoot very well for me at all despite trying all manner of things to get it to work. My favorite was the P5 because it always shoots so well for me and is a blast to operate. I believe the pricing of these pistols reflects my findings as well (and the fact that you see a ton of P7s on the market but not very many P5s). The P6s are the cheapest of the bunch, the P5s the second most expensive with the P7s at the top in terms of cost. I personally believe you see so many P7s on the market because people don't actually like shooting them but see the huge prices they command and thus want to cash out once they realize the novelty and myth around the P7s maybe didn't quite match what they were experiencing. You do not see many P5s I think because they are just really nice to shoot (or perhaps they didn't make as many which is certainly a possibility) and then the P6s are somewhere in the middle in terms of quantity on the market. I don't think you can go wrong with any of these pistols but I just personally prefer the P5 to all of them. Something about it just makes it inherently more shootable and more pleasant to operate than the others.
