I love everything about this place. The scenery, the music, the boss fight with Odin. I think that version of Odin is my favorite as well, and one of the few times they got Sleipnir close to being correct (it is supposed to have 8 legs, but some games it only has 4 and looks much too normal). I had one little goof - I forgot to set Mug back on, and so I couldn't steal the Luck-J scroll from Odin - def worth the trouble! He won't touch you until the timer reaches zero so get those 100 triples...then you can fight 20-30 Tonberrys and get the GF Tonberry King :) not going to record that grind though lol I have played this game a million times since it was new in 1999 - it defined my freshmen year of high school. Squall is probably the best looking character of the Final Fantasy series, and when I was young, I identified SO MUCH with the way he thought. That all being said, it's far from the best of the series, and is too easy to take advantage of the junction/limit break system, as you will see in my tonberry fight. Of course it's also a testament to me getting better at it over the years - back then people barely used the internet so we still were figuring stuff out ourselves. At this point in my life, I play it once every few years, once it can feel "fresh" again, but not long enough for me to breeze through it. Usually what happens is I hear that music - "Find Your Way" - and I think of the Centra Ruins (or possibly the Tomb of the Unknown King), and it makes me want to play it! So I always enjoy this part more than anything else. It has some nice moments and all, but I wouldn't blame anyone for skipping it. If I didn't have nostalgic value attached to it, I don't know if I would care to play it today at age 33 vs 14... hah
