Community Emergency Networks (CENs), including Coalitions Active in Disaster (COADs), Volunteer Organizations Active in Disasters (VOADs) and Long-Term Recovery Groups (LTRGs) strengthen local preparedness and recovery. They play a vital role in delivering rapid support, trusted outreach, and essential services that government systems cannot always provide during emergencies. Strengthening their operational readiness helps them build on existing strengths and deepen their impact. https://pandemicresponse.columbia.edu... The Region 2 Center for Public Health Preparedness and Response (R2C) is currently undertaking an effort aimed at expanding the operational capabilities of CENs through a short-term funded learning collaborative that tests practical strategies, strengthens readiness, and documents what works for community emergency response . We invite CEN leaders and those that work with them to join us for this webinar which will highlight how this effort strengthens readiness and generates evidence. Panelists and attendees will: Learn how the R2C intervention is designed to strengthen CEN capabilities Review the goals and structure of the region wide CEN capacity form Explore the purpose and activities of the soon-to-launch CEN Learning Collaborative, a funded engagement opportunity.
