Beta Video of Bastille Day at Blue Diamond Cave. Full discretion this is not the best quality. The video is one of my beta burns that is spliced together. I only have one video of this in daylight since I sent and mostly tried this route in the dark. I extended the draws on the first and second roofs and clipped both the extended draws and the original permas on my send go. In the video I clipped the extended draw and perma at the first and only the perma at the second roof. At the first roof, there was a chance I could’ve swung into the slab and the large boulder to the right, so I chose to extend the draw. A friend told me she’d fallen there and it was safe, but extending still felt like the right call for me. Clipping the extra draws made the route a bit more physically demanding, but easier mentally imo. Maybe one day I’ll climb it again for the spice and not extend the draw but that is not any time soon lol. Anyways, the climbing was super fun. Crux is the sequence between both roofs. Best beta for folks that are short; I am a little over 5’0” with an even ape index.
