The North Wales Coast Path is part of the overall Wales Coast Path. This section of the Wales Coast Path is 80 miles / 125 kilometres with an undulating coast line that shadows the Dee Estuary and passes through traditional seaside towns, along the route we also view limestone headland and Conwy mountain. (Please help the channel to grow by donating a coffee here } https://ko-fi.com/amblingtrails This first video covers the first two days of a five day journey. We start in the old Roman town of Chester where we have arrived by train which most guide books use as the start point. However, the official start is two miles outside of Chester on the Welsh boarder and it is here we view a information map of the overall coast path in addition to highlighting what we are covering on the first days walk. We initially follow the canal towpath through the city to reach the River Dee. We then follow cycle route 568 alongside the river to Queensferry and then cross the river to walk along the riverside meadows. We do a few miles of road walking before crossing over into Flint Marshes to end day one at Flint Castle. On day two we leave Flint Castle and begin to walk along the edges of the Dee Estuary.
