Its characteristic feature is its cross-shaped shape and its excellent condition. The ruins of an older castle of Kurt Ahmet Pasha are also preserved in the area. The castle was probably built during the Ottoman period, at the end of the 18th century, with the aim of controlling the mountain pass and supervising the surrounding villages.
