Mental Health Reform Webinars Looking back, looking forward - renewal and reforming of Mental Health

At this event we heard updates on the Mental Health Reform programme, looking back over the last year of work and what the future holds as the programme continues to develop. This included presentations from: • Diana Hekerem, Associate Director for Transformational Change, Healthcare Improvement Scotland, and Gavin Gray, Deputy Director for Improving Mental Health Services at Scottish Government. They spoke about renewal within NHS Mental Health services and how it fits together with other priority mental health work across Scotland. • Donna Petrie, Team Lead, and Dr Annita Tasker, Consultant Clinical Psychologist, both of Connect Early Intervention for Psychosis in Dundee City, NHS Tayside. They spoke about the development and impact of the Early Intervention in Psychosis service in NHS Tayside. • Dr Katie Whyte, Consultant Clinical Psychologist, and David Ruddick, Mental Health Unscheduled Care Service Manager, both working in Early Intervention for Psychosis services, within NHS Dumfries & Galloway. They spoke about the development and impact of the Early Intervention in Psychosis service in NHS Dumfries & Galloway. • Dr Esther McKenzie, Consultant Clinical Psychiatrist in NHS Dumfries & Galloway, working with the Personality Disorder Improvement Programme. Esther spoke about how the team have implemented their Personality Disorder pathway. • Rachel King, Unit Lead of Mental Health for Transformational Change, Healthcare Improvement Scotland, who gave a summary of the Scottish Approach to Change. • Mark Richards, Associate Chief Nursing Officer for Mental Health, Scottish Government, Dr Jane Cheeseman, Clinical Lead and Consultant Clinical Psychiatrist, NHS Lothian, and Dr Suzy Clark, Clinical Lead and Consultant Clinical Psychologist, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, gave their top three takeaway reflections of the Mental Health Reform programmes over the last year.
