Public sector of Pakistan is unable to fulfill seed requirement of rice. Government has allowed different companies to provide rice seed. Companies are performing well in this connection but some of them exploit the farmer by selling same variety with different names. Some members of the seed mafia introduce Indian rice varieties in Pakistan.
