Moritz Moszkowski’s Spanish Dances, Op. 12 is a landmark work in the piano four-hands repertoire, combining rhythmic vitality, lyricism, and brilliant keyboard writing. Each dance presents a distinct character while contributing to the overall balance and flow of the set. This video features one movement from the cycle, performed for piano four hands on one piano. J² (J Squared) is a piano duo formed by pianists Jie Zhang and Jiayi Li, currently based in the Netherlands. The duo performs repertoire for piano four hands and two pianos, focusing on ensemble dialogue, balance, and shared musical phrasing. Both pianists are completing their Master’s studies at Maastricht Conservatorium.
