Synopsis In the quiet refuge of Kweya, a village where women who survived the brutal war have built a fragile life with their children, two close friends, Nasolo and Achieng, find strength in one another. Their days are marked by resilience and sisterhood, as they try to heal from the scars of the past while protecting the peace they have carved out in this hidden haven. That peace is shaken when a group of mysterious men arrives, claiming to bring safety and protection. Beneath their polished words, however, lies a concealed hunger for Kweya’s rare mineral wealth. Achieng, guided by instinct, grows suspicious of their motives and urges resistance. But Nasolo, swayed by the charm of one of the strangers, convinces her friend to yield. In a tragic twist, the trust they extend becomes their undoing, as the men cast off their false benevolence and reveal their true colors—conquerors masked as protectors. The Acting Arena is an acting competition that happens every two months, designed to discover and nurture Uganda's next generation of performing arts talent. The winner will receive one million Uganda Shillings, and the event connects emerging actors with influential producers, directors, and talent agents, serving as a launchpad for their careers.
