What does it mean to be justified by faith? In Week Three of our Romans Bible study, we explore one of the most powerful truths in Christianity: You are made right with God not by performance, but by faith in Jesus Christ. Romans 3:21–4:25 reveals that righteousness is not earned, but credited. Not achieved, but received. Not based on your effort, but on Christ’s finished work. If you’ve ever felt like: • You have to earn God’s approval • Your obedience determines your acceptance • You’re living on spiritual probation • You need to clean yourself up before coming to God • This teaching will remind you: The verdict has already been spoken. In this message, we unpack: • What “justified by faith” really means (Romans 3:21–31) • Why righteousness is credited, not achieved • The legal meaning of justification in Scripture • How Abraham was declared righteous before he performed • The difference between earning and receiving grace • Why transformation follows justification—not the other way around • How to stop striving and start living from approval Romans 3:23–24 says: “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.” Justification means declared right with God because of Jesus, not because of you. This sermon is for anyone wrestling with shame, performance-based Christianity, spiritual exhaustion, infertility struggles, unanswered prayers, or the pressure to measure up. Faith receives what works can never earn. If you’ve never put your faith in Jesus, or if you need to come back to grace, this message includes a simple prayer to begin a relationship with Christ. You are not waiting to be approved. If your faith is in Christ, you are approved. Welcome to freedom. Welcome to living from the verdict. You are Beloved. 🤍
